Hi,

I am new to the forum and from what I have seen I am impressed by the wealth of people with the 6230 and the tips that are being given out-excellent stuff.

Had the phone for about 2 days now and converted some MPEGS to 3GP using the Media Convertor supplied with the phone (ver 1.1 I think, not version 2.0 though), but clips longer than 2 minutes seem to freeze but the music (if its a music clip) continue to play...Any suggestions? I have had a look through previous post's but cannot find anything..please don't flame me if its been discussed ;-) !

Thanks

Pete

Which software are you using? I use the Nokia Multimedia Converter, which worked fine when I ripped Van Helsing from DVD to 3gp.

Now, I don't have the problem you are describing (I have converted a couple of 5/6 minute clips wich wirk fine), but I am having problems where I encode files and the picture is fine, but the sound is non-existent. Have you experienced this?

Do the versions of Nokia Media Player/Convertor (1.1/2.0) have anything to do with the media file quailty, like v.1.1 having media file freeze after 2mins and v.2.0 does it fine ?

can anyone verify on this point?

thnx
