What we say:
“ Arguably the first true Android tablet, the Motorola XOOM is both Motorola's and Google's vision of how tablet computing should be. There are 2 sides to the Motorola XOOM . The first is the hardware, it feels incredibly solid the soft touch back is a clever move making it a lot more comfortable to hold. Inside the combination of a dual core processor (Tegra 2), lots of RAM (1GB) and storage space (32GB) means Motorola XOOM is snapping at the heels of some laptops in terms of sheet processing power. I copes with shooting and playing back HD video with ease (something most netbooks struggle with).
The big story with the Motorola XOOM however is Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), the first version of Android designed to run on tablet devices. Bringing a brand new interface that's designed specifically for big screens; all the finger friendly controls and gestures from you'd expect from your phone mixed with desktop like levels of functionality. All the existing apps have been updated to make good use of the space. Gmail is now even more of a joy to use, with multiple panes showing your messages & in-box on 1 screen. YouTube benefits from an amazing makeover, you now get a wall of video clips to choose from rather than a boring static list with thumbnails. Special mention has to go to Chrome, the web browser on the Motorola XOOM. Its almost indistinguishable from the desktop version in both look, speed and feel. Android 3 also comes with a host of new features, such as built in support for video calling and a new eBook store.
Just like the original Milestone phone raised the bar on what people expected from Android phones, the Motorola XOOM does it again raises the bar on what people should expect from tablets.
”

Motorola Xoom 32GB 3G Wi-Fi
I was recomended the xoom by a friend as it had a very good build spec that matched its competition and in places was better. For a 32gb 3g & wifi spec it is also considerably less expensive than the competition. I certainly wasn't disapointed and do not know how i survived without one. There are more than enough APPs availabe from google play and the xoom functionality is realy user friendly.
