What is an "Unlocked" phone?
Many cell phones are designed to use a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to store subscriber data. These SIM cards are issued by the carrier and provide cell service to the phone. "Locked" cell phones will only recognize SIM cards from the carrier that originally provided the phone. Almost every cell phone provided by a US carrier is locked to that carrier’s network.
"Unlocked" cell phones will recognize SIM cards from any carrier using Global System Mobile Communications (GSM) technology. Customers with "unlocked" cell phones are able to use any GSM carrier of their choosing, including "pre-pay" or "no contract" SIM card options. "Unlocked" cell phones also accept international SIM cards that provide discounted rates while traveling abroad.

Amazing Phone
This is just the very BEST Android phone out there. The large screen is so easy on the eyes. Just gorgeous ! Once you use this phone you will never go back to a phone with a smaller screen. Easy to type on the on-screen keyboard. The design and style are pure eye candy. I bought the white version and I think it just looks amazing. Performance is very speedy and the S-Pen features are fun and useful. Audio is quite good and the phone has good reception. I am using it on the Straight-Talk ( AT&T ) network and works like a charm. You will absolutely love this phone !

Perfect
I have owned this device in Blue since launch, so when the white came up...I jumped on it. This is a well balanced device, offering all the goodies you could want in a phone or tablet. Screen size Processing power On board memory w/card slot Camera front and back Thin & light weight all around just the perfect mobile device, and you will not be disappointed. Biggest phone, smallest tablet.
I am a student, so viewing and editing MS office documents and pdf is important to me. I have been using Galaxy note for nearly a week, and I totally get used to it. I don't have to take notes with my heavy laptop. I can edit my documents easily. One problem is that it doesn't recognize Chinese when sending texts, so I have to type Chinese with whatsapp and similar software. Another issue is that I cannot text with one hand, considering the Note is so wide. Overall I enjoy playing games and going online with my Note, and now any other phones are as small as matchbox!
