What is an "Unlocked" phone?
Many cell phones are designed to use a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to store subscriber data. These SIM cards are issued by the carrier and provide cell service to the phone. "Locked" cell phones will only recognize SIM cards from the carrier that originally provided the phone. Almost every cell phone provided by a US carrier is locked to that carrier’s network.
"Unlocked" cell phones will recognize SIM cards from any carrier using Global System Mobile Communications (GSM) technology. Customers with "unlocked" cell phones are able to use any GSM carrier of their choosing, including "pre-pay" or "no contract" SIM card options. "Unlocked" cell phones also accept international SIM cards that provide discounted rates while traveling abroad.

Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 5.3" Android Features
Consumer research indicates that people always want to do more tasks much better, even on the go, whether it is web browsing, email, games, or viewing photos and videos. To do all this, consumers carry multiple devices, because each device has unique benefits that work best in a particular situation. Therefore, consumers constantly switch devices to use the right device at the right time.
Even for consumers with multiple smart devices, they still carry around a notepad for writing down ideas. There is an emerging desire for a primary device for on-the-go use that could consolidate the core tasks of multiple devices as well as recreate the ease and simplicity of using a pen and paper.
The GALAXY Note was created to reflect your desires. The Galaxy Note is a primary device that will minimize the need to switch to other devices while on the go and open up the potential of your mobile experience.

Galaxy Note 16GB
Bought this phone because I wanted to be able to read text and use a keyboard easily....This the Note does due to the size of the screen...Very pleased indeed with all its capabilities...And sound is very good too when receiving calls...Haven't tried music on it but I'm sure it will be good too..Camera is excellent....Another reason I moved to Samsung was that changing the battery on my iphone 3Gs was far from easy and requires virtual dismantling of the phone as the battery is under the motherboard...which makes changing it almost impossible for the average person..The note for me is great...but my hands are quite big so holding it is a doddle and I have big pockets ...If you have smaller hands then you need to try it out first for sure....or buy the smaller S2 which I believe is also excellent...

Best phone I ever owned..
I had a previous 16gb black and had screen issues...returned it from somewhere else..I can't beleive they have a 32gb version..you know how hard is to find a 32gb version? I just hope the screen is perfect...also Expansys has awesome customer service..I ordered it from UK store..the UK people are so much better to talk to...than my US of A..can't wait to get it.

Very good all-round device
This is the best phone and media device I have owned. NB.. Originally I purchased elsewhere in UK and had 3 faulty replacement units - screen issues; banding and video. Quality has much improved with current purchase. Unsure if this is due to different production line. Feels comfortable in hand, bright and uniform screen, sound quality in calls in better than my previous s2. Pen is very useful if u use diary at work lots, convenient for quick notes also. You soon get used to the size. Remember, it is only an inch bigger than the 4.3 inch phones, but makes good use of the extra space. 32GB internal memory also means I can store media files on it with quicker access than sd card. Fast and reliable postage via DHL
