The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the long awaited PlayStation phone. The Xperia Play has been tailored towards those who want to combine hardcore gaming with light mobile use. Push the springed screen upwards and you uncover a Playstation DualShock-style tactile set of controls, complete with a pair of shoulder buttons, which is comfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. The Xperia Play comes with a new PlayStation app that gives access to the PlayStation Suite, Sony's new gaming platform and download store that promises to bring PlayStation games to Android 2.3 and above handsets. The Xperia Play will massively boost Android's gaming credentials.

It isn't just about the Playstation controls though; the Xperia Play comes with a 4 inch 854 x 480 pixel resolution multitouch LCD screen. There's also stereo speakers, and a 5 megapixel camera with sharp pictures, vibrant colors and capable of recording 720p videos, as well as a front facing camera for video calls and pictures. Sony have used Android 2.3, known as Gingerbread and the latest Android operating system, for a superb mobile experience and plenty of goodies, including access to the thousands upon thousands of apps in the Android Market.

Wonderful service, brilliant product

Been meaning to send you feedback on the service. I just wanted to thank you guys for the speedy work; it was also friendly, I did not have troubles at all. I've been too busy enjoying my Christmas present, it came earlier than I had initially expected. I'd love to buy again soon! As for the product, The Xperia Play is awesome, I love the graphics, the physical design on it is not combersum. I also love the way it looks. Big ups to both Sony Ericsson for the brilliant product, and Expansys for the wonderful service they offered me.

Excellent!!

Got mine last month...I am totally in love with this smartphone - gaming device. I was suspicious at first for it being on offer, but I don't regret it! It's brilliant!
